Routine pediatric eye exams should ideally begin at 6 months of age.

Thereafter, children are recommended to have a routine eye exam annually as early detection of refractive errors, eye turns and other conditions may prevent amblyopia, also known as, a lazy eye.
We can follow your child through their visual development, checking for shifts in eye health such as eye misalignment, refractive errors and other disorders.
Many vision problems can be detected at this stage and the earlier a condition is caught, the higher the chance of correction.

Examinations include, but are not limited to:

• Eye muscle movement and alignment
• Distance vision
• Near vision
• Depth perception
• Colour vision
• Pupillary Light reaction
• Checking for refractive errors
• Overall eye health
