DR. SANDEEP SURI, O.D.

Hi everyone! My name is Dr. Sandeep Suri. I am a Calgarian, born and raised, and I graduated from the University of Calgary with a major in Biological Sciences while obtaining a minor in Sociology. During my early years of education, I was grateful to have great volunteer opportunities at Forest Grove Care Centre providing library services and socializing with elderly residents along with a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico in which I helped build a home for an impoverished family.

Thereafter, I went to Boston, Massachusetts to complete a doctorate in Optometry with honours at the New England College of Optometry. During graduate school, I gained extensive experience in the field of ocular disease when I rotated through Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, a prestigious world-renowned eye center located in Miami, Florida. Furthermore, I was placed at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Hospital in Southern California for training in the sub-specialty of low vision along with primary eye care.

My family moved from India in 1980 and I am the oldest of 3 siblings. I am fluent in the languages of Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu and can perform a basic eye exam in Spanish!

I live and encourage a healthy lifestyle with attention to diet and exercise from all walks of life. Outside of professional life, I enjoy travelling to new places, I am a sports fanatic and an avid golfer.

I look forward to seeing you!
